Located in San Mateo, Manticore Games is an independent developer of high quality hardcore multiplayer PC and console games and services.

Manticore Games was established by industry veterans with experience in PC, console, mobile and VR games at Electronic Arts, Blizzard, Xfire, Trion Worlds, Crystal Dynamics, Zynga


Frederic has over twenty years of experience in gaming and hi tech, having worked at Xfire (acquired by MTV), Trion Worlds, A Bit Lucky, Zynga.

Prior to founding Manticore Games, Frederic rebuilt and headed the Corporate Development function at Zynga as well as was Studio GM for Solstice Arena, Empires & Allies and an R&D team.

Frederic's previous company, A Bit Lucky, was acquired by Zynga in 2012.

Frederic is an avid collector of classic games and game systems such as the Apple II, Mattel Intellivision, Vectrex, Atari ST, and Amiga.

Frederic's favorite games include Fortnite, PUBG, Rocket League, WoW, Counter-Strike, Dungeon Master, Burger Time, Tron: Deadly Discs.

Frederic holds an MBA from Stanford University, a post-graduate degree in law from the Nice-Sophia-Antipolis University and an MA in business from the EDHEC Business School.

Jordan has over twenty years of experience making games at Electronic Arts, Trion Worlds, A Bit Lucky, Zynga.

Prior to starting Manticore Games, Jordan was Franchise Designer at Zynga, which he joined as part of the acquisition of A Bit Lucky, his previous game company.

At Zynga, Jordan contributed to the launch of four games and eventually lead an advanced R&D team focusing on VR and AR.

Games Jordan worked on include Mountain Goat Mountain, Empires & Allies, Solstice Arena, Lucky Space, Lucky Train, Rift, and Spore.

Jordan is also a second-generation game developer, following the footsteps of his Dad, David Maynard, who was an early employee at Electronic Arts, 3DO and Digital Chocolate.

Jordan holds a BS in Computer Science from San Diego State University.

Steve has over 20 years of game engineering experience.

Prior to Manticore Games, Steve worked at Electronic Arts for over 15 years, where he held multiple technical leadership roles, shipped 7 major releases and was Lead Engineer for the complete Dead Space series.

Before EA, he was a co-founder and Lead Engineer at Shaba, shipping a Playstation title published by Sony. Steve got his start at Crystal Dynamics, shipping two Playstation titles.

Steve's favourite games include avid Summoners War, World of Warcraft and Diablo.

Steve holds a MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley.

Dan has over 10 years of experience in game making and artistry, having shipped over 20 titles on platforms across mobile, Nintendo DS, Facebook, VR and PC.

Dan got his start in mobile at Gameloft and Glu as a pixel artist. He was the first art hire at A Bit Lucky (acquired by Zynga in 2012), where he evolved into next-gen 3D pipelines as a Technical Artist and Art Director.

At Zynga, Dan directed art for several titles including Solstice Arena, Empires & Allies, Mountain Goat Mountain, and several VR and R&D projects.

He is also an avid indie game developer having worked on Spunk And Moxie (Top 50, Apple featured Feb 2013) and Chasm (releasing 2018).

His favorite games include Rocket League, PUBG, Riven, and Fez.
